Nick Foles hit by Chris Baker on dirty play, leads to fight (Video)
A dirty hit by Chris Baker on Nick Foles in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Eagles-Redskins game led to a fight between the teams and some ejections.
A Foles pass that appeared to be intercepted by Bashaud Breeland led to a return from Washington. While Foles was trying to tackle Breeland, Baker cheap-shotted him with that huge hit.
Eagles left tackle Jason Peters went after Baker in response, and a fight spilled over by the sidelines. Baker was seen jerking Peters around by the facemask. Both Baker and Peters were ejected from the game.
It turned out that the ball hit the ground while Breeland was trying to make the interception, so that hit happened on a play where the ball was actually dead. The pass was ruled an incompletion, allowing Philly to keep the ball.
