Odell Beckham reportedly told Rams players he wants to play with them

Odell Beckham crying

The Los Angeles Rams are the only team thus far that has been mentioned as a legitimate suitor if the New York Giants trade Odell Beckham Jr., and apparently Beckham would be receptive to such a change.

Gary Meyers of the New York Daily News wrote on Wednesday that three elements need to be satisfied in order for Beckham to be traded to the Rams. The first is the Rams would have to want him, which is an obvious “yes” given the way Sean McVay has praised OBJ and the vacancy left by the departure of Sammy Watkins. The second would be Beckham’s willingness to help facilitate a trade by agreeing to a long-term extension with L.A. According to Meyers, Beckham has already told at least two Rams players that he would love to join them.

The third and final element that Meyers cites would be the Giants’ willingness to part ways with Beckham. Given the way team owner John Mara recently criticized Beckham’s off-field behavior, it seems like the G-Men are at least willing to listen. However, there have been reports that their asking price is insanely high.

The Rams have already been aggressive this offseason in acquiring players like Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib and Ndamukong Suh. They are clearly committed to contending for a Super Bowl in 2018, so they may be willing to make a respectable offer for Beckham.
