Rob Gronkowski was one of the latest NFL players to find himself on the receiving end of some Jalen Ramsey trash talk, and the star tight end’s girlfriend is not having it.
Camille Kostek, a former New England Patriots cheerleader who has been dating Gronkowski off and on for quite some time, was told by TMZ on Thursday that Ramsey said Gronk is overrated. Kostek jumped at the opportunity to defend her man.
“I’m gonna keep my mouth closed right now, because that kid has broken records,” Kostek said of Gronkowski. “He’s had so many (great) seasons, and he’s the best player in the entire league if you ask me.”
A friend who was with Kostek then noted that Gronk is Camille’s boyfriend, which once again confirms any rumors we have heard about the two. Kostek then said she’ll be at the game when the Patriots travel to take on the Jaguars in Jacksonville on Sept. 16, and she had a strong message for Ramsey.
“Rob’s sexier than you and he’s a better football player than you,” she said.
Ramsey has made headlines throughout the offseason for his honest assessments of opponents, and Kostek is not the first significant other of a star player to rip him for it. Ramsey’s argument against Gronkowski was that he’s far less effective when matched up against an elite cornerback instead of a linebacker or safety, so it will be interesting to see if Ramsey is the one covering Gronk in a few weeks.
