Rob Gronkowski knee injury not thought to be serious
When Rob Gronkowski was down on the field in Denver Sunday night, pounding the snow-filled turf in pain, many thought the worst about his knee injury. Fortunately it looks like the New England Patriots stud avoided a serious injury.
Reports are saying the extent of Gronk’s knee injury may not be as bad as it looked.
Sources tell me pending MRI, Rob Gronkowski's injury is not as bad as it looked. #Patriots

Might have something: #Patriots currently believe Gronk is dealing w/ an MCL sprain, per a source. Unsure of grade. All I got right now.

More testing likely and further updates ahead, but one source just texted this on Gronk's leg injury: "Doesn't appear to be serious."

On a night when the team lost its perfect record with a road loss to the Broncos, this is about the best news Patriots fans could hear. As long as Gronk can return in time for the playoffs, the Patriots should be fine. If he’s back earlier to help them challenge for the top seed and homefield advantage throughout the postseason, all the better.
