Tim Tebow hasn’t ruled out running for political office after football

Many people have wondered if Tim Tebow will someday run for political office. There have been few figures in sports worldwide who are more polarizing than Tebow, and he seems to always know the right thing to say no matter how heavily he is criticized. Those characteristics alone make it intriguing to think about him as a politician, and according to Tim it isn’t out of the question.

During a recent interview with ESPNNewYork.com, Rich Cimini asked Tebow if he would consider running for office after his football career is over.

“I haven’t ruled it out,” Tebow replied. “Whatever avenue I feel like I can make a difference in, I’d love to do. I haven’t ruled out anything like that. It won’t be anytime soon in my future, but it’ll be something I’ll at least look at and consider one day.”

The buzz Tebow is capable of creating extends well beyond football, so it is certainly conceivable that he would make some noise as a politician and influence a number of people. He’s a backup quarterback in the NFL, yet the gossip magazines are still as interested in Tebow’s personal life as they are any other player in the league.

If he were to run for political office, Tebow said the reason would be that it would provide him with another avenue to “make a difference.”

“I want to do that while I’m playing football, and I want to do that after I’m done playing football,” he explained. “I want to do that until the day I die because I don’t look at that as a profession or a career. I look at that as what I want to do with my life. I love doing it. I’m a natural for it.”

Tebow for president.
