Tim Tebow Not Sure What to Think About the Jesus Jerseys

Almost anything said about Tim Tebow can instantly become controversial. You have coach John Fox who says Teebs would be screwed in a regular offense. Then you have Darrelle Revis worried he’s going to be bored facing Denver. But the most controversial Tebow issue this week was the customized Tim Tebow “Jesus” jersey.

Some fans are getting a No. 15 Broncos jersey with the name “Jesus” on the back in place of Tebow. While many people view it as a tribute to the religious athlete, others think it contradicts Christianity’s stance on idolatry. What does Tebow think?

“I don’t know what to think about that because I don’t know where people’s hearts are,” Tebow said Wednesday. “It’s important to not judge without knowing their hearts. If their heart is to honor the Lord, then it’s a good thing. Only God can judge because only God knows what’s truly in a person’s heart.”

Man, is this guy the best or what? He even has a great response to the question. He’s not going to judge those people until knowing their motivations. Maybe neither should we.
