Adam Scott won the Masters last year, which means he was in charge of picking the menu for this year’s annual Masters Champions Dinner. One of the menu items he decided to go with is a shellfish from his home country that I’m guessing most of the green jacket winners had never tried.
Scott’s menu featured a surf and turf combo that included a Wagyu beef New York strip steak served with Moreton Bay Bugs, which are a type of Australian lobster. Darren Rovell shared a photo of what the fish looked like before it was prepared.

Rex Hoggard of the Golf Channel described Moreton Bay Bugs as “little lobsters that taste like heaven,” so I’m sure most of the diners enjoyed them. And I’m sure they were relieved to find out they would not actually be eating bugs.
