Bubba Watson spazzes over pace of play at US Open (Video)

Things started out rough for Bubba Watson at the U.S. Open on Thursday, and he was caught on camera blaming the pace of play at one point.

After hitting a poor second shot at the par-5 18th, Watson swung his club in frustration and complained about the speed of his round.

Watson went on to make par at the 18th, but he was expecting more since he was trying to go for the green in two shots. He finished with an even-par round of 70 that included two double-bogeys. One of those double-bogeys came on the par-4 10th after Bubba did this:

Play is going to be a bit slower than usual at Chambers Bay, especially when golfers are playing in groups of three before the cut on Saturday. As with most US Opens, the course is set up in a very difficult way. You can see a great example of the challenges the players will face here.

Outbursts like that from Watson contribute to his peers not liking him very much.
