Shrink, parenting coordinator for Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches quit

Siohvaughn Funches Dwyane Wade ex Chicago

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches have been going through and incredibly messy divorce for more than five years. Back in July, the two reached a financial settlement in which Wade gave Funches what his attorneys called enough money to live a “wonderful lifestyle” for the remainder of her life. Apparently that hasn’t ended the drama.

On Thursday, Gossip Extra reported that two people who are assigned to keeping the peace between Wade and Funches have suddenly quit their positions. One was parenting coordinator Howard Rosenberg, whose job was to oversee the amount of time each parent spent with the couple’s children. The other was psychologist Leslie Star, who had agreed to produce an in-depth psychological evaluation of Funches, as Wade demanded after the settlement was reached. Star reportedly resigned before her first appointment with Funches.

Rosenberg cited his inability to work with the lawyers involved in the case as his reason for giving up his $400-per-hour gig. Funches’ lawyers indicated that Star quit because of the nature of the case.

“Everybody’s got their limits,” attorney Brian Hurst said. “This is the kind of case with a level of review on someone’s work that people are often unaccustomed to.”

The July settlement between Wade and Funches came after Siohvaughn took to the streets of Chicago holding a sign that said she was the mother of an NBA star’s children and had no money. Given some of the stuff that has happened between the two over the years, it isn’t exactly surprising that people have given up on their case.
