This was actually a difficult project to do. Over at FanHouse, we’re doing a City’s Best feature, where bloggers are asked to identify the top five athletes for each of the top 20 sports cities in America. I wasn’t a real big fan of the criteria, because it made it hard to answer the question. Rather than identifying the top athletes in the city, I think we’re really identifying the most popular players in the town. For instance, Rafael Furcal might be one of the most athletic people in LA, but he’s not one of the most popular. Feel me? So anyways, I posted who I thought the five most popular players in LA were. If you’re living in LA, please take it upon yourself to make your own list, and/or leave commentary on mine. I think it’s a great debate.

(note: Olmedo Saenz did not make my list, but he could make yours!)
