Miesha Tate calls Ronda Rousey a hypocrite for posing nude

Miesha Tate looks like she’s doing her best to set up a rematch with Ronda Rousey. Tate is the former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight champion, but she lost her title to Rousey (pictured) in March by way of first-round arm bar. The two exchanged shots in the buildup to the bout, including Tate saying Rousey talked her way into a fight she didn’t deserve. Rousey proved she was ready for the title shot by almost snapping Tate’s arm.

Now it’s Tate talking her way into a fight.

Tate sent some tweets on Tuesday calling out Ronda Rousey for being a hypocrite for posing nude in ESPN the Magazine. The basis for Tate calling Rousey a hypocrite was the latter’s criticism of UFC ring girls posing nude in Playboy.

“With all these ring girls and their vaginas, all of this goes back to advice my mom gave me,” Rousey told Tap Out Radio in February. “She gave me this one piece of advice, which I still hold dear. She said, ‘Look, whatever pictures you put out there are gonna be out there forever, so just think that one day your 12 or 13-year-old son or daughter is going to see those pictures. Whatever you want your son or daughter, or even your 13-year-old little sister to see, keep that in mind.’ So, whatever I’m not gonna show on a beach, I’m not gonna show in a magazine. These girls are going to have to explain to their kids one day why mommy’s a– and vagina are all over the place.”

Enter Tate on Tuesday:

Tate retweeted the thoughts of her followers who agreed with her, and then she capped the statements by directing a tweet at Rousey:

Yeah, you think she’s not doing her part to drum up excitement for a rematch?

Tate’s awaiting the outcome of Rousey’s August title defense fight against Sarah Kaufman, but she’s already getting started with the buildup for a second fight. As for her commentary, it’s pretty darn accurate. We also called out Rousey for being a hypocrite, but for a different reason.
