Ronda Rousey: I don’t really have time for a boyfriend
Ronda Rousey does not have a boyfriend, but it is not for a lack of suitors.
The MMA star joined “his & hers” on ESPN Wednesday and talked about the five great anecdotes her sister shared about her in a recent story on ESPNW. One of the stories had to do with how her mother disrespects any boyfriend she or her sisters bring home. That led to a question about Ronda’s relationship status. The UFC women’s welterweight champion explained why she is single.
“The difficult thing is: It’s not that I lack requests (from men to be my boyfriend); I lack time,” Rousey said. “I really don’t need anybody. I’m in the gym all the time — I’m working. If I’m on the set acting, I’m not there to hook up. If I’m training, I’m not there to hook up. And at the end of the day, I have no energy to go out at all. I’m going to go face plant into my bed.
“It’s not something that I’m searching for. If it happens, it happens.”
For all those hoping to become Rousey’s lucky man, you still have a chance (and your best chance probably is before her fights). Just don’t bank on a relationship, because it sounds like the superstar is a little too busy for one at this time. She also just turned 28, so she still has plenty of time to figure that part out when she’s done fighting, which might come sooner than you would expect.
