Marlins players wear pimp suits on Easter Sunday (Picture)
The Miami Marlins had a disappointing start to their season in more ways than one. For starters, they dropped two out of three to the Reds in Cincinnati. Since the season is extremely young and this is still a team with a lot of promise, that’s not really a huge deal. However, the Marlins are also dealing with a major distraction, as people are calling for Ozzie Guillen’s head already in the wake of his insensitive Fidel Castro comments.
On Sunday afternoon before their flight to Philadelphia, some of the Marlins players did their best to put all that behind them and end the weekend in style. As you can see from the photo above that MLB.com Marlins beat writer Joe Frasario shared with us, Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Johnson, Randy Choate and Ricky Nolasco broke out some pimp looking suits after Sunday’s loss. Either the foursome was celebrating Easter, was trying to outdo Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels, or is planning to take a page out of the Rays’ book with quirky getaway day outfits this season. Whatever the case, I’m liking the style.
