Aaron Judge makes only hit of ALDS count
Aaron Judge has been mostly ineffective during the ALDS between his New York Yankees and the Cleveland Indians, but he made his one hit this series count.
Judge delivered a key two-out, two-run double in the second inning off Trevor Bauer to make it 4-0 Yankees. The Yanks won the game by a 7-3 margin, and his big double helped give them a healthy cushion. Judge went back to his underwhelming ways the rest of the game, as he struck out in his other four at-bats.
For the series, he’s 1-for-15 with 12 strikeouts. He has walked four times which has helped him at least get on base, but the double is his only hit of the series so far.
The Yankees slugger will be counted on to come through during Wednesday’s Game 5 against Corey Kluber at Cleveland. Judge went 0-for-1 with a walk and a strikeout in Game 2 against Kluber.
