Adam Jones is not only a favorite among fans of the Baltimore Orioles, he’s also becoming a favorite of us here at LBS.
The Orioles center fielder is a perennial All-Star and rarely disappoints when a microphone is nearby. He isn’t a fan of those team meetings when things aren’t going well, would like to see fans who run onto the field get what’s coming to them, and has had it up to here with you fantasy baseball managers who tweet players when they have a bad game.
On Wednesday, the Orioles’ 2014 season came to an end at the hands of the Kansas City Royals, who are headed to the World Series after sweeping Baltimore in the ALCS. It was a disappointing end to the season for sure, but Jones chose to focus on the positives after the game.

The Orioles won the American League East for the first time since 1997 and did so without their projected starting catcher (Matt Wieters) and third baseman (Manny Machado) for much of year. They signed Ubaldo Jimenez to a big free agent contract and he largely disappointed. Chris Davis, who hit 53 home runs in 2013, didn’t resemble that version of himself and was suspended 25 games for the use of Adderall. Baltimore also swept the Detroit Tigers in the ALDS after hearing how they had no chance against Max Scherzer, Justin Verlander, and David Price.
In many ways, Adam Jones was right. It was a pretty f***ing awesome season for the Baltimore Orioles.
