Adrian Beltre says he will finish career with Rangers
Adrian Beltre is one of the names that has come up as a potential trade piece prior to Tuesday’s deadline, but the veteran third baseman is apparently not going anywhere — this year or for the remainder of his career.
Beltre, who has a full no-trade clause, told Bob Nightengale of USA Today that he plans to finish his career with the Texas Rangers.
Adrian Beltre says he’s unsure whether he wants to play past this season, but rest of his career will be spent with the #Rangers

Beltre is 39 but having an impressive season, hitting .292 with five home runs and 33 RBI. He’s only under contract with the Rangers until the end of this season, but what he told Nightengale indicates he plans to retire if Texas doesn’t want him back in 2019.
There was some talk that Beltre would be open to accepting a trade to a contending team, but perhaps none were interested enough.
