Alex Bregman a big fan of MLB’s impressive rookies

Alex Bregman

MLB has been infused with young talent this season that has Alex Bregman impressed.

MLB Network sent a tweet on Friday that included a graphic of four impressive rookies. They asked who has been the most impressive rookie this season and why. Bregman answered that the Padres’ Fernando Tatis Jr. and his Astros teammate, Yordan Alvarez, were the most impressive.

The other three rookies in MLB Network’s graphic have been awesome as well.

Bo Bichette began his MLB career on an 11-game hitting streak for the Toronto Blue Jays with nine doubles and four home runs. Pete Alonso has set the New York Mets’ rookie home run record and won the Home Run Derby. Vlad Guerrero Jr. has a .795 OPS and is batting .330 since the All-Star break. Tatis Jr. is batting .326 with 22 home runs and an OPS just under 1.000, as a 20-year-old no less. And Alvarez has been a standout since being called up in June and is batting .348 with a 1.132 OPS.

MLB has its share of problems, but a lack of exciting young players is not one of them.
