Alex Rodriguez is joining FOX as a guest analyst for their postseason coverage. He appeared on FOX NFL Sunday and played a little football with Jay Glazer, but things did not go as planned.
Rodriguez appeared on FOX NFL Sunday as part of the announcement that he’d be joining the network’s studio crew to cover the playoffs. As part of the gimmick, the crew handed A-Rod a football and sent Jay Glazer long and requested that the Yankees DH air it out.
Rodriguez certainly did that. He overthrew Glazer with great force and knocked out one of the monitors in the studio.

Rodriguez quarterbacked his high school football team, so this wasn’t completely foreign to him and it showed. It seems likely that this is the last time FOX asks an athlete of A-Rod’s caliber to go all out in the studio, though.
