Aroldis Chapman out at least two weeks after injection in knee
New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman will be sidelined for at least two weeks after getting an injection in his knee.
Chapman, who left Tuesday’s game after throwing just six pitches, will not return until early September at the earliest after the treatment.
Aroldis Chapman had a PRP injection and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Aaron Boone said.

Chapman was placed on the disabled list on Wednesday with what the Yankees are calling left knee tendinitis. He’d still been pitching well — his ERA on the season is 2.11 — but he’s had very bad outings against the New York Mets and Boston Red Sox in the last month. Perhaps a knee issue is behind why one opponent doesn’t quite find him as intimidating as he used to be.
