Benches clear as Sal Perez, Tim Anderson exchange words on bases
Benches cleared during Game 2 of the doubleheader between the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals on Saturday after Sal Perez and Tim Anderson exchanged words on the bases.
Things began after Anderson led off the game with a home run. Perez didn’t like the way Anderson celebrated after his home run and said something to him as he crossed home plate.

Although players from both benches came out while the two were talking, nothing further happened and the incident ended with Anderson and Perez shaking hands. Sometimes things are much ado about nothing. This was one of those times.
