The Atlanta Braves made a move on Tuesday to improve their bullpen.

The Braves acquired relief pitcher Chris Martin from the Texas Rangers in exchange for minor league pitcher Kolby Allard.

Martin, 33, is having the best season of his career. The 6-foot-8 reliever has posted a 3.08 ERA and meager 1.03 WHIP in 38 innings this season. He also has walked just four batters while striking out 43. He has allowed eight home runs though.

Martin is a rental as he will be a free agent after the season.

The Rangers are getting Kolby Allard in return. Allard was the No. 14 overall pick in 2015 and pitched eight innings over three games with the Braves last season. The 21-year-old southpaw has a 3.23 career ERA in the minors.
