Braves pitcher has funny reaction to Dave Roberts’ guarantee
Color the Atlanta Braves unbothered about Dave Roberts’ self-confidence.
The Los Angeles Dodgers manager made headlines this week by making a bold guarantee about his team for the 2022 season.
In a tweet on Friday, Atlanta Braves pitcher Tyler Matzek offered a hilarious reaction to Roberts’ prediction. Matzek clowned on Roberts by making a fitting movie reference.
Breaking: Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts, believed to have received a copy of Grays Sports Almanac from future self. Plans to open Dave Roberts’ Pleasure Paradise Casino and Hotel in near future.

That is, of course, a reference to the film “Back To The Future 2” and the famous almanac that told the future of every major sporting event for the rest of the century. By that token, Roberts would be playing the role of villain Biff Tannen with his guarantee.
While the Dodgers lost the likes of Corey Seager, Kenley Jansen, and Joe Kelly this offseason, they staged another coup by landing Freddie Freeman, the Braves’ longtime star. Granted, the Dodgers’ World Series hopes will still run through Matzek and the Braves, who are the defending champs. Atlanta was the team that signed Jansen, and they also added Matt Olson and Collin McHugh, in addition to the impending return of All-Star Ronald Acuña Jr.
Matzek himself clearly doesn’t fear the Dodgers either, especially since he was the hero against them during the NLCS last season. This tweet about Roberts is pretty tame too considering how Matzek savaged a Dodgers fan on Twitter a few months ago.
