Jerry Remy has spent a lot of time in the broadcast booth, but the fourth inning of Wednesday’s game between the Red Sox and Chicago Cubs will be one won’t soon forget.
With Cubs third baseman Mike Olt at the plate, the conversation between Remy and Don Orsillo shifted away from the game when Remy held up the crown that became dislodged from his tooth for everyone tuned into NESN to see.
Olt briefly brought the attention back onto himself by hitting a two-run home run. Then, after Luis Valbuena flied out to right, Orsillo grabbed some tools and this happened.
That was about the extent of the good times in the booth for Remy and Orsillo Wednesday evening, as the Cubs went on to beat the Red Sox 16-9.
