CC Sabathia appears to have waited until after he retired from playing baseball to get into the best shape of his life.
Sabathia retired following the 2019 season, and it would appear he has been on a mission to greatly improve his physical health since then. A photo surfaced on social media Monday that shows the former New York Yankees star looking almost unrecognizable from the waist down.

Sabathia underwent a heart procedure prior to the 2019 season, so it’s possible that health scare motivated him to get into better shape. Whatever the reason, he looks tremendous.
There were points during Sabathia’s career where he looked quite slim, but he weighed over 300 pounds several years ago with the Yankees and claimed he had a good reason for getting that big. The 2020 version of Sabathia looks a lot healthier than the one we saw on the mound throughout much of his outstanding career.
