Chris Sale scheduled to start on Sunday
Chris Sale’s absence from the Boston Red Sox’s rotation will not be long.
Sale is scheduled to start on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles, the team said on Tuesday.

Sale was surprisingly placed on the 10-day disabled list July 31. At the time, team president Dave Dombrowski said the DL stint wouldn’t last long; the missed start due to shoulder inflammation seemed to be a precautionary measure more than anything else.
Sale, 29, is 11-4 with a 2.04 ERA and 207 strikeouts in 141 innings this season. He is firmly in the mix for the AL Cy Young award.
