Tom Brady said what every Washington Commanders fan was thinking Sunday as Jayden Daniels injured his elbow.
The Commanders quarterback got hurt while trying to make a play with seconds remaining in the first half at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Facing 3rd-and-goal with his team down 17-10, Daniels stumbled and tried to brace his fall with his left elbow. The hard contact on the grass bent his elbow the wrong way in a gruesome moment caught on camera.
The instant replay of the injury had Brady muttering an expletive live on the FOX broadcast, and it was hard to blame him.
“Ohhh s–t,” Brady said. “Excuse me. Was not expecting to see that.”

Daniels finished with an 11/17 passing clip for 96 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Mariota replaced Daniels in the second half as the Commanders lost 37-20.
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn told the media after the game that Daniels had suffered a dislocated elbow that may keep him out for the foreseeable future. X-rays were reportedly negative.
Daniels suffered a similarly gruesome elbow injury last season in a Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He returned in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings before the Commanders shut him down for the rest of the year.
