Milwaukee Brewers slugger and MVP candidate Christian Yelich might miss a few days after tweaking his back Monday.
Yelich was not listed in Wednesday’s starting lineup against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and admitted to reporters that he felt something in his back on Monday and is taking precautions to ensure that it does not get worse.
Yelich said he could feel something in back Monday night when went 4 for 5 with 2 HRs. #Brewers didn't want it to get worse. Won't be back in there until this passes. Team is off Thursday.

The Brewers will no doubt be hoping sitting out Wednesday and the scheduled day off Thursday will be enough to clear things up. However, back injuries can be problematic and slow to clear up — just ask Max Scherzer. Yelich should be considered day-to-day at this point, but the Brewers can’t afford to be without him for long.
