The A’s pregame show had to endure some awkwardness on Thursday as an unhappy fan crashed the broadcast.
A fan popped up on the pregame show prior to Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Twins at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, Ca. while wearing a green-and-gold T-shirt that said “sell.” The shirt is a message to owner John Fisher, who has faced frequent calls from the team’s abandoned fanbase in Oakland to sell the franchise.
The fan got away with his positioning for several moments before he was confronted by stadium security.

NBC Sports California tried to keep the fan out of the shot, but there was only so much they could do. Eventually, at least three staff members were involved in the background.

The fan in question has popped up behind the analyst desk before. On Friday, he said on X that he had actually been allowed to stay after having a “great chat.”
They let me stay! Had a great chat.

Fisher has been the subject of intense criticism for moving the A’s to Las Vegas, with a three-year stop in Sacramento until their new stadium is built. MLB tried in vain to censor some of that criticism while the team was playing out its final year in Oakland.
Ultimately, the criticism of Fisher is so widespread that there is only so much that can be done to hide it. This is a fine example of that.
