David Ortiz was surprised on Monday by his daughter singing the national anthem prior to his last ever home opener at Fenway Park.
Ortiz is retiring after the season, and his Red Sox had their home opener on Monday. The team surprised him by having his 15-year-old daughter Alex sing the national anthem:
Not only did Alex sing it beautifully, but her performance and the surprise left Big Papi crying and emotional:

Ortiz went 2-for-5 in the game, but the Sox lost 9-7. Despite the defeat, Ortiz got to experience quite the memory.
