David Price played Fortnite before Game 5 start
David Price had some hand issues early in the season, and many people speculated that his love for playing video games had something to do with it. Not surprisingly, Price was happy to taunt those people after another gutsy playoff performance on Sunday night.
Price, who pitched seven innings of three-hit ball against the Los Angeles Dodgers to clinch the World Series, said one of the ways he prepared for his start was by playing “Fortnite.”
David Price said he prepared for his start today by playing Fortnite with Nathan Eovaldi last night.
"Yes, we did win," Price said.

Price has had an icy relationship with the media and fans since he signed a $217 million contract with the Red Sox, and he hasn’t always handled himself well. He got extremely defensive when asked if playing video games was the reason for his hand numbness after he got shelled against the New York Yankees back in May, so it makes sense that he rubbed it in to the media on Sunday.
If you remember, Price walked out of an extremely awkward interview earlier this year over a “Fortnite” question. It must have felt good for him to quiet all of his critics.
