Tuesday night’s preseason game between the Dodgers and Angels at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles was delayed and later cancelled because of a leak on the field.
The leak occurred by the third base dugout in the bottom of the fifth inning with the Dodgers leading the Angels 4-3. Water began to pool nearby the camera well just beyond the dugout and even spilled into the first row.

Several members of the grounds crew poured some drying substance on the water to help the issue:
Seriously odd. Bottom of the 5th, perhaps just call the game…just a thought I’m good either way pic.twitter.com/i3eJqP8EZm

Dodgers reporter JP Hoornstra said that there was a water main that broke and that the water smelled like sewage.
After just over a half hour with the leak continuing, the game was finally called.
It’s better for this to happen with the Dodgers now rather than when the team hosts the Giants on Opening Day Thursday.
