Evan Longoria expected to miss 6-8 weeks
Evan Longoria is expected to miss 6-8 weeks after breaking his hand on Thursday.
The San Francisco Giants third baseman was hit by a pitch on the left hand against the Miami Marlins. Longoria will have surgery on Tuesday and is hoping to return after the All-Star break next month.
Longoria will have surgery Tuesday to speed up healing process. Doctor told him he’ll likely miss 6-8 weeks but he hopes to be back in lineup shortly after All-Star break in July.
