A fan captured a tremendous video of the Cleveland Guardians’ walk-off home run on Thursday night from his apartment a few buildings away in downtown.
The Guardians beat the New York Yankees 7-5 in 10 innings of ALCS Game 3 on a walk-off 2-run home run by David Fry. Cleveland had blown an initial lead in the 8th when Emmanuel Clase allowed back-to-back home runs, but the Guardians tied it in the bottom of the 9th on a 2-run home run by Jhonkensy Noel.
Fry then came through in the 10th with the walk-off home run.

A fan named Pete Marek, who lives at the Residences at Halle luxury apartment building, captured a video of what the environment was like when Fry connected. You can hear the crack of the bat, the crowd going wild, and the fireworks going off in the great video.
Part of what makes the video so spectacular is that you could see the players celebrating at home plate. Marek zoomed in at the end, and even from a few streets away, you could still get a good view of what happened.
The home run was massive and put the Guardians back in the series. Now the Yankees’ lead has been cut to 2-1.
