Felix Hernandez entered spring training for the Seattle Mariners with a new look. He has bleached blond hair straight out of the ’90s and a dyed goatee to match.

King Felix also says he intends to keep the goatee for a while.
“I’m going to keep it,” he told The Tacoma News Tribune. “For the entire season. I just wanted something different. I (decided to) try to be blond. I was tired of seeing my black hair in the mirror all of the time, so I decided to be blond.”
Hernandez may be pleased with his new look, but he’s in the minority. Teammate Tai Walker apparently is not a fan of the blond.

A photo on Hernandez’s Instagram page shows he’s had the blond hair for at least a few weeks:
The goatee seems to be a newer addition. We’ll see how long he keeps both. We have our doubts.
