Fernando Tatis Jr. out possibly 3 months with fractured wrist
Fernando Tatis Jr.’s 2022 MLB season is getting off to a bad start.
San Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller said on Monday that Tatis is out up to three months due to a fractured wrist. The injury was suffered during the offseason.
Fernando Tatis Jr. fractured his wrist during the offseason, A.J. Preller said. He’s headed for a surgery that could come with a recovery time of up to three months.

This is unfortunate for Tatis, the Padres, and baseball fans. Sadly, it’s all too familiar territory for the 23-year-old.
Tatis has dealt with significant injuries in four of the last five seasons.

July 2021: 2nd left shoulder subluxation (misses 32 games that season)

Tatis hit .282 with 42 home runs, 25 stolen bases and a .975 OPS last season. He has finished in the top four in NL MVP voting two straight seasons.
