Giants have offered Dodgers GM Farhan Zaidi president job
If Farhan Zaidi leaves the Los Angeles Dodgers to join the San Francisco Giants, he would be receiving a title bump and theoretical promotion that comes along with it.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi said on Tuesday that Zaidi has been offered the Giants’ president of baseball operations job. He says a decision is expected within the next 24 hours.

Morosi previously described Zaidi as the frontrunner for the job.
#SFGiants decision on new president of baseball operations expected soon, possibly as early as today, sources say. Farhan Zaidi viewed as the frontrunner by many in the industry, if a deal can be completed. @MLBNetwork @MLB

Zaidi has been the Dodgers’ GM for the last four seasons. They have won the NL West in all four years and made consecutive World Series appearances.
Perhaps the challenge of rebuilding the Giants, and the thought of being president rather than serving under Andrew Friedman in Los Angeles, appeals to Zaidi. Zaidi gained his first experience in baseball working with the Oakland A’s before joining the Dodgers.
