Jeff Passan goes viral for his great posts amid the big news at ESPN
Jeff Passan is hyping up his base amid this week’s big development at ESPN.
Word broke on Monday that ESPN has decided to hire Shams Charania as their top NBA reporter. Charania is set to replace Adrian Wojnarowski, who announced his retirement from reporting last month.
That news led to a couple of great posts on X by Passan. The ESPN baseball reporter Passan posted the famous scene from “The Wolf of Wall Street” of Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) emphatically announcing to his firm that, “I’m not f–king leaving!!”
Passan also wrote in a subsequent post that “Baseball’s better anyway.”
Here are the posts (but obviously watch out for the bad language).

Passan, who has worked at ESPN since 2019 and emerged as their leading MLB reporter, was rumored at one point to potentially be switching sports and becoming Wojnarowski’s replacement as an NBA insider at ESPN. That led to some very mixed reactions as Passan has covered baseball throughout his career and has become something of a beloved figure among MLB fans.
Fortunately, that did not end up materializing as ESPN has officially landed on Charania as their successor to Wojnarowski. Now we can look forward to plenty more great baseball roasts from the veteran reporter Passan.
