There’s still a chance that Jose Bautista ends up returning to Toronto.
According to FOX Sports’s Jon Morosi, the Blue Jays have remained in contact with Bautista’s agent and met during the winter meetings.

Bautista’s market hasn’t really developed thus far. There hasn’t been a rush on power bats, as his former teammate Edwin Encarnacion remains available as well. The 36-year-old’s age isn’t working in his favor either, nor is the fact that some teams may view him as a designated hitter, thus ruling out some NL clubs who may feel that way. One club has their own reasons for declining to pursue Bautista. If it keeps up, he may just end up back in Toronto.
