Justin Verlander has funny reaction to Yu Darvish’s baserunning slip
Justin Verlander had a funny reaction to Yu Darvish’s slip on the base paths during Friday’s game.
Darvish hit a double in the bottom of the fifth inning of his Chicago Cubs’ game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He probably could have stretched it for a triple, but he slipped going around second and had to dive back to the bag.

The whole display by Darvish led fellow pitcher Verlander to send a funny tweet.
Yu…. . Not doing a lot here to help us dispel the pitchers aren’t athletes thing. https://t.co/685zoAJzXf

“Yu…. . Not doing a lot here to help us dispel the pitchers aren’t athletes thing,” Verlander wrote.
He’s right, that won’t help. The good news at least is that Darvish was able to make it out of the troublesome fifth inning for his best outing of the season. Unfortunately he ended up with a no-decision, which is just insult on top of the embarrassing baserunning play.
