Kirk Minihane: Erin Andrews is a ‘gutless bitch,’ should drop dead (Video)

Erin-AndrewsKirk Minihane is about to become a household name. Minihane is the third man in studio on WEEI Boston’s “Dennis and Callahan Show.” Those who listen to the show know how outspoken he can be, but Minihane crossed the line with his criticism of Erin Andrews on Wednesday morning.

After Adam Wainwright told reporters he grooved a fast ball to Derek Jeter in the first inning of Tuesday night’s All-Star game, the St. Louis Cardinals pitcher backtracked in an interview with Erin Andrews. Minihane disagreed with the way Andrews handled her line of questioning, to say the least.

“I hate her! what a gutless bitch! Go away. Drop dead. I mean, seriously what the hell is wrong with her? First of all, follow-up. Second of all, the guy admitted he did it. He told reporters he threw a couple of pipe bombs. How is that social media’s fault?

“I hate her. Don’t you love social media? Yeah … social media is — shut up. Shut up. I’m sure she’s a nice person, but she’s … she’s probably a bitch. I hate her.”

Personally, I didn’t see any issue with the questions Andrews asked. Wainwright’s initial comments about serving one up to Jeter had already become a big story, so she was simply doing her job. And since the All-Star Game is a light-hearted affair to begin with, I don’t see the issue with the “Don’t you just love social media?” comment.

Like his collegues John Dennis and Gerry Callahan, Minihane is a blowhard. Disagreeing with a line of questioning is fine, but there’s no need to call Andrews a bitch and tell her to drop dead. There are plenty of other ways to get attention if you’re that desperate.
