Kyle Schwarber got back some awful news on Friday about his injury sustained during a collision with Dexter Fowler on Thursday.
The second-year outfielder has a torn ACL and LCL and is out for the season. Cubs reporter Carrie Muskat says Schwarber also has a severely sprained ankle.
The No. 4 overall pick in 2014, Schwarber showed off his power last season as a rookie when he smashed 16 home runs and slugged .487. Jorge Soler will likely take over in left field for the Chicago Cubs in Schwarber’s absence.

Here is video of the collision:

You can see that Fowler dived into Schwarber’s left knee, causing the injury.
