It remains unclear whether the Indianapolis Colts will trade Jonathan Taylor, but the running back sounded open to the idea on Thursday.
The Colts running back was asked Thursday whether he had asked the organization for a trade in light of what appears to be a full rebuild. Taylor replied with a non-answer that did not particularly function as a denial.
“At this point, the hay is in the barn now. We’re preparing for the Dallas Cowboys,” Taylor said. “We got a home game. After last week, nothing else matters. We just gotta give these fans a win.”

One would imagine that if Taylor did not want a trade request to be part of the narrative, he would more forcefully respond to such a question. Intentionally or not, he is certainly dropping hints that he wants to be dealt.
Taylor can hardly be blamed for wanting to leave Indianapolis. The Colts are 2-6, and his talents are being wasted on a team that is not going to make the playoffs. He could contribute to any number of contenders, though one in particular might be in the driver’s seat when it comes to landing him.
