With their team up 1-0 in the ALDS over the Red Sox, Indians fans didn’t need another reason to be fired up prior to Game 2. However, LeBron James taking the microphone worked the crowd at Progressive Field up to a fever pitch.
During pregame festivities on Friday, James came out wearing a throwback Indians jersey and was joined by J.R. Smith, Dahntay Jones, Richard Jefferson, and James Jones. During a rousing speech, James shouted “It’s always us against the world. Always us against the world. Cleveland against the world! Let’s go!”

There was no way the Indians were going to lose after that, right? They blanked the Red Sox 6-0 behind seven strong innings from Corey Kluber and a three-run home run by Lonnie Chisenhall. The Indians will take a 2-0 series lead to Boston for Game 3 on Sunday.
