Look: Cardinals misspelled own manager’s name on Jumbotron
The St. Louis Cardinals’ birthday celebration for manager Mike Shildt may not have gone as ideally as they had planned.
Shildt turned 51 years old on Friday, and the Cards encouraged fans to sing him “Happy Birthday” during their game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. One major problem: Shildt’s name was misspelled as “Schildt” on the Jumbotron. Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch shared the funny image.
#Cardinals encourage the crowd to sing Happy Birthday to their manager.
And misspell his name. #MLB pic.twitter.com/DiHflsWS3I

Shildt is in his second season as Cardinals manager, so you would think that the team (or at least their control room people) would have it down by now.
Well at least this isn’t the worst sports misspelling that the Midwest has seen.
