Michael Jordan and United States President Barack Obama have a seemingly friendly history with one another, but we wouldn’t exactly call them best friends. After all, best friends know how to spell each other’s name.
In a recent interview with New York Magazine, political consultant David Axelrod revealed that His Airness once misspelled Obama’s first name when signing an autograph for the president.
“When the president turned 50, I wanted to get him something special … so I sent (a poster) to Jordan to have him sign it for me.” In black Sharpie, Jordan scrawled, “To Barrack: you still owe me dinner. Wishing you well, Michael Jordan.”
“I gave it to the president, and he said, ‘I can’t put this up, he misspelled my name!’ So I said, ‘Fine, I’ll take it.'”

Perhaps that is one of the reasons Jordan and Obama have exchanged some friendly jabs in recent months.
