Lorenzo Cain and Adam Eaton are two of the better defensive center fielders in baseball, and the two showcased their skills during Thursday’s White Sox-Royals game.
First it was Cain robbing Adam LaRoche of extra bases with a stellar catch that sent him crashing into the wall in the top of the second inning. The catch was so good pitcher Edinson Volquez had to tip his cap to his teammate. An inning later, he robbed Micah Johnson of a potential double with another nice catch at the wall.
Two innings later, Eaton nearly went Jim Edmonds to rob Mike Moustakas of a shot to center. This was a beauty:
