Mariano Rivera retirement gifts: A look at what he received

From the Oakland A’s on June 13:

Mariano Rivera surfboard wine

The A’s gave Rivera surfboard and engraved bottle of white wine from a Napa Valley vineyard. They also gave a $10,042 check to Rivera’s foundation to match the closer’s jersey number.

From the Los Angeles Angels on June 15:

Mariano Rivera Angels painting

The Angels gave Rivera a portrait of him pitching. It was painted by artist Stephen Holland and presented to Rivera by owner Arte Moreno and first baseman Albert Pujols.

From the Texas Rangers on July 25:

Mariano Rivera Rangers boots and hat

The Rangers gave Rivera personalized cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. They also made a donation to his foundation. The gifts were presented by current Rangers closer Joe Nathan, and former Rangers closer John Wetteland, who also preceded Rivera as the closer of the Yankees.
