Seattle Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto has been busy making moves to try to improve his team this offseason, but unfortunately he had bigger problems to worry about this week.
According to Jim Bowden of CBS Sports, Dipoto was admitted to the hospital in Las Vegas during the Winter Meetings with what turned out to be blood clots in his lungs. Fortunately, he was scheduled to be released on Thursday.
Prayers and thoughts with #Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto who developed a series of blood clots in his lungs which led to him being submitted to a local hospital in Las Vegas…fortunately he will be released from the hospital today.

The Mariners have been very active this winter, and Dipoto is the man in charge of building their roster. Hopefully his health scare turns out to be just that.
