Atlanta Braves veteran Jurickson Profar received a 162-game suspension for testing positive for PEDs for the second time in his career.
Profar decided to appeal the ruling, but the official decision came from the league on Thursday. The MLB has upheld the initial ruling, meaning Profar will miss the entire 2026 season.

Profar also tested positive just days after the start of the 2025 season, and he was suspended for 80 games.
Profar’s most recent positive test came at the beginning of March.
The Braves signed Profar to a 3-year, $42 million contract prior to the 2025 season, and the veteran is now going to miss out on the $15 million salary he was set to earn this season.
Profar still played in 80 games for the Braves last season, hitting .245 with 14 home runs and 43 RBIs, and he was expected to slot in as the starting designated hitter this season.
The Braves might have to use free agent addition Mike Yastrzemski in a DH role, and catcher Drake Baldwin is another option once Sean Murphy returns from his injury.
The MLB rules state that a third positive PED test will result in a lifetime ban.
