There was no shortage of walk-off heroics on Tuesday across MLB. The Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, and Detroit Tigers were its primary sources.

The Tigers were up first. Detroit trailed 9-7 in the bottom of the 11th inning at Comerica Park in Detroit, Mich. Center fielder Javier Baez came up to the plate with runners on the corners and nobody out. He took the first pitch he saw deep to left field for a walk-off three-run homer.

Baez unknowingly passed the baton to Houston Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes. With the Astros and Kansas City Royals tied at 1-1, Paredes led off the bottom of the 9th inning with a walk-off solo shot into the Crawford Boxes at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas.

Chicago Cubs veteran Justin Turner has yet to hit a home run this season. But he was more than capable of walking off the Miami Marlins just minutes after Paredes’ blast. Turner hit a two-RBI double down the left-field line to give Chicago a 5-4 win at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Ill.

Three separate MLB stadiums in different parts of the country all celebrated walk-off hits in the span of four real-time minutes.

San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. was fashionably late to the walk-off party. The Padres slugger beat the Los Angeles Angels 6-4 via a two-run homer to deep left-center field at Petco Park in San Diego, Calif.

Better late than never, El Niño.
